Return of the King and a Look at the Upcoming Clash with London teams

Next match: vs QPR at the Emirates

Date and Time: 31st Dec 2011, 8 25 pm IST

Live Telecast: on Star Sports

Had some days off and had good time to check on what happened to Arsenal in the last 2 matches and a look at the next match and the another  fantasy transfer window for all arsenal fans. There is no doubt that we should have take the maximum points from those games and get the top four position. However that did not happen and now we have added pressure to stay up in the top 4 and got to win more in the coming matches. There is no need for me to write a postmortem as of now on those matches because what is over is over and we need to focus on the upcoming matches.

The has been news all over the web stating Henry has signed on a 2 months loan according to mail online. Now a lot of us would be very pleased to see him back but we need to be realistic and need to see if he would make the change that we need in this team. On comparison to Chamakh he would definitely would be better but i think that’s not want we need .We need to look ahead or forward and get the best possible signing. There are a lot of theories coming up with some taking on whom he would need to replace on the squad list as we have the almost complete squad list. But we will wait for some concrete news on that loan signing and much more in the coming January Window. And if the King of  Highbury does sign for us then he would be avaible for about 7 PL games one FA cup match and a Champions league match.Like I said lets wait and watch.

The last game against Wolves was a bit disappointing given the fact that it was us going all the attacking. Yes there were some good saves done by the Wolves keeper but we should have taken all the 3 points on the day and taken an advantage of the other teams around us loosing points. But that was not to be and it was one of those days where we never looked like wining. The Wolves goal too came from a sad defending and something that we could have avoided. What we missed was not been able to get into the top 4 before the last match of the year and what is over is over and we need to look ahead for the remaining matches of the season.

Our next match is against QPR and its their first visit to the Emirates and no doubt it would be a tough match.Currently they are 15th in the league and they would be looking to finish the year on a high too. We could see the return of Ramsey and Walcott, who missed the last match due to illness, back to the starting line up. But the question is how would the Manager do all the rotation in the team keeping in mind the next match is just a couple of days away on Monday against Fulham.

It’s just three wins from eight matches across all competitions for Arsenal, which came after a stretch of eight wins from nine, and 11 wins from 13.Since the Dortmund match, they’ve drawn Fulham, lost to City, beaten Everton, and drawn Wolves. Now we should try to get the maximum points out of these two matches else the talk again would start on if we
are good enough or not and maybe put pressure on Arsenal to buy again in the January transfer window. But lets not predict on what would happen in January and just pray for the boys to play well like they have done this season and get a convincing win against QPR and hope that RVP could get more than a brace in the game.

Its been a day since i started writing this and by the time I am about to post this its become evident that Henry has given a go ahead for a 2 month loan with Arsenal and would be wearing the number 12 shirt. We would still have to wait for a few more days for a confirmed news.My heart says it would be awesome to have the king back but the mind says why do Arsenal always go for cheap options and are we interested in winning trophies or just the top four? And why would I feel like that is because from what we have seen of Wenger, he would very well say that We got the cover for the Gervihno with Henry coming in and with Sagna and Wilshere coming back from injuries do we need to buy more and we have a big Squad?

Its not been a great year for Arsenal however this season we did see a lot of changes in the squad and the new look team has shown that we are still up there and give an amazing match on their day and we can hope for a better year ahead for the club and all of us as fans.

So what do you think of the next match with QPR and are you happy or overjoyed with the return of Henry?

And Wishing you all a Happy New Year!!!
