Directionless Arsenal need Achievable Transfers

With the surprising capital one cup exit against the fourth-tier lowly Bradford city still raging, there are thoughts turning to which players could be brought to boost Wenger’s below par squad in January. It is very difficult to talk about the transfers as the situation changes very fast as time goes. Arsenal have been at the centre of a lot of transfer talks over the last few days.  Here is the roundup of the players linked with Arsene Wenger who could make a move to the Emirates in January.

One of names that is continually linked with Arsenal is Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. The Dutchman is one of the valuable players at Schalke, and played a very important role in outplaying Arsenal in the group stages of the  Champions League this season. He is been in a good form this season and is very keenly looked by the gunners. As both Arsenal and Schalke employ similar footballing philosophy, so a  potential move to North London shouldn’t matter. His fantastic movement and reading of the game have allowed him to play for Holland, Ajax and Schalke.  Premier League demands more direct and physical style of play and I dont think Huntelaar would take more time to settle in this style of play. With Giroud and Podolski failing to deliver Wenger should look for a good striker in order to strengthen the attack and to give some competition to Giroud and Podolski.

Another player who could specially help Arsenal to end their title drought is Soldado. He is one of the strikers who needs very few opportunities to find the back of the net. Soldado has been a consistent in his performance since his move to Valencia  over two years ago, scoring 53 times for the club  and the Spanish international may be very interested in a high profile move which could enhance his career and could give him a place in Spain’s starting XI. His unhappiness over contract negotiations could make him available for transfers and hence arsenal should be very alert and should not waste the opportunity of signing a valuable player. His quickness and ability to finish could spice up Arsenal’s squad.

According to reports Manchester United winger Nani could land up to Emirates in January. The Sun claims that Arsene Wenger is ready to lure Portugal international with a £20 million deal. It would be a suitable replacement for Theo Walcott whose future remains unclear as dragging contract negotiations continue. Nani’s playing style has been developed into a more classical style having the ability to play on both wings. His limited opportunities to play and his displeasure on wages offered could force him to be on the transfer list. But seeing to his calibre Wenger will have to cash out more to see him in Arsenal outfit.

There is news that Arsenal is showing a lot of interest towards Fernando Llorente but due to his disappointing run in this season Arsenal should avoid him. There is no doubt about his capabilities but if signed he would be of the same mould as Giroud, Both of them performed exceptionally well previously but in this season both of them have witnessed a significant dip in their form.

Whomever Wenger signs in this transfer season but it is for sure Arsene Wenger has taken up a lot of interest in the January transfer season and we all hope that he brings good and promising players to the side.
