Rating the Gunners in their 3-3 draw against Fulham

It was another day without a win as the Gunners yet again gave a two goal lead away to find them trail 3-2 but did equalise and finished the game 3-3. This was the first time in the season that Arsenal conceded three goals.

Here are the player ratings from the match.

Mannone 6- The Italian didn’t have many saves to make but did nothing great in conceding thrice in the match. His position is certainly under threat as Wojciech Szczesny returned to the bench and would surely play against Tottenham next Saturday.

Sagna 6.5- Had an average performance but was left exposed a few times when Fulham hit on the counter. He wasn’t at his best today.

Mertesacker 6- Was troubled by Berbatov but did make some good interceptions with also losing the ball on few occasions.

Koscielny 7- Was solid at the back and did save Arsenal in some instances, one of them a couple of brilliant challenges to deny Berbatov his hat trick.

Vermaelen 6- Isn’t at his best at left back and was given many problems by Fulham’s right winger.

Coquelin 6- Had a good game. Spread the ball nicely in midfield and made some good tackles.

Arteta 5.5- just a miserable afternoon for the Spaniard as most of it went wrong for him. Gave away a silly penalty, missed one at the end and misplaced his passes sometimes. The only positive was his brilliant pull back and run which led to Podolski’s goal. This is one bad performance which for him only comes once in 38 matches. Hopefully, will be much better against Tottenham.

Cazorla 7- Was once again the orchestrator in midfield as he made some key passes.

Walcott 7- A good game for him. Gave two good assists for Giroud’s goal and terrorised the Fulham defence with his blistering pace.

Podolski 6.5- Scored a good goal but was rather anonymous the rest of the match.

Giroud 8- Man Of The Match performance as he scored a brilliant brace, both headers and his movement was excellent. The Frenchman has now scored four in the last four matches and his performance on Saturday is a good sign for the coming games. He is proving doubters wrong and showing why Wenger bought him.

A good game for a few and a bad game for a few.
Next game is another London derby but this time it will be a more difficult game as the Gunners play Tottenham at home.
