Arsenal crushed a relegation threatened Blackburn side yesterday at the Emirates. It was a memorable afternoon for every Arsenal fan as after a poor form in the Premier League Arsenal came back in style.

Arsenal 7-1 Blackburn. Here are some thoughts on the match.
1. Arsenal can finish in the top 4:
Arsenal thumped Blackburn after a really poor form. Arsenal now sit 5th in the table just two points behind fierce rivals Chelsea. Chelsea who also have been under performing this season have just scored 13 in their last 10 matches. The amazing form of Persie and the rise of 18year old Chamberlain is also gonna play a major role in gunners success. If Arsenal continue to play the way they did yesterday, no team can stop them from getting a Champions League place next year.
2. Arsenal don’t rely in Van Persie:
Yesterday there were three different goal scorers – Arteta, Chamberlain and Henry – with Van Persie among them. More or less every football pundit and fan says that Arsenal need to rely on Robin Van Persie for goals but yesterday we saw that there are other players out their who can do that job. Gervinho, Ramsey, Vermaelen and Walcott are also amongst the goal scorers.

3. Arsenal will now start a new run of winning form:
The past week has gone well. Arsenal won 3-2 in a stunning comeback on Sunday against Villa, then Arsenal got their first point of 2012 in a goalless draw against Bolton durning midweek and finally Arsenal thrashed Blackburn. This is a start of a new winning form.

4. Chamberlain is gonna prove out to be one of the best players in the PL:
The “ox” was signed by Arsène Wenger last summer for about 15 million from Southampton. It was according to his transfer policy. The 18 year old started in the last 3 matches and has been exceptional. He has already scored 4 times for Arsenal – against Shrewsbury, Olympiakos and a brace yesterday – and has got an assist for himself. He is gonna prove to be one of the best signings of Wenger. Chambo is loved by every Arsenal fan and would help Arsenal regain their form.
Chamberlain celebrates his first goal
Szczesny 6.5- He had a comfortable match and just had to pick the ball from the back of his net. After that he needed a pair of binoculars to watch the match.
Vermaelen 6.5- Was good at the back and went forward many times to attack.
Koscielny 6.5- Solid at the back. He didn’t have much to do.
Mertesacker 6.5- An easy performance for him. Won most of the headers.
Coquelin 7- Best in the back line because he was always up in attack. Gave an assist for Persie’s third goal and made up the first.

Song 7- Picked up all the lose balls. Made up a couple of goals.
Rosicky 7.5- Busy afternoon for the Czech. Was involved in almost every goal and attack. Unlucky not to get a goal.

Arteta 8- Got a wonderful goal on the half volley and dominated possession. As usual active in the midfield.

Chamberlain 9.5- Man of the match performance. Got a brace for himself. Was controlling the game throughout. Was the focal point of Arsenal’s every attack.
Chamberlain on the move
Walcott 8.5- At last a wonderful performance from him, showing his pace and ability down the flanks. Grabbed three assists. That is the Walcott we need in every match. I think he should have also got a goal for himself.
Persie’s second goal
Van Persie 9.5- ‘We don’t need Batman we’ve got Robin.’ Persie was just fabulous yesterday. Got a Hattrick and two assists bejng unselfish with the second one. You need no more from him. Just amazing. He has now got 22 goals in the Premier League this season. No one can stop him from getting the golden boot this season.
Persie on his third goal
Sagna 6.5- Was back defending and was good. Did the job he needed.
Henry celebrates his goal
Henry 7.5- Came on for Chamberlain and was alright. He hasn’t got the pace he had but still managed a wonderful goal on a wonderful afternoon.
Benayoun N/A – Came on late so no ratings. Continued he passing game and rotation.
Lovely performance from the gunners.
