Arsenal to play Sunderland in opening game

Arsenal’s first game of the 2012/13 Barclays Premier League season is at home to Sunderland on August 18.

Arsène Wenger’s side will then travel to Stoke City on August 25 before heading to Anfield to face Liverpool on September 1.

Arsenal will visit both Manchester clubs before Christmas, facing champions City on September 22 and United on November 3.

Emirates Stadium will host the first North London derby of the campaign on November 17 – with the reverse fixture at White Hart Lane scheduled for March 2.

Arsenal face Man United at home on April 27 and then end their campaign against Queens Park Rangers (a), Wigan Athletic (h) and Newcastle (a).
