It is the Carling Cup Quarterfinal and we face a tough opponent in Manchester City. It would be the first time that Nasri would be at the Emirates after his much talked transfer and he would be in for some hot reception from the Arsenal faithfuls. Arsenal has won this competition just twice in 1987 and 1993 while being runners up in five occasions. Whereas Manchester City has also won just twice but just once as runners up.
We should be seeing a lot of changes on the team line up from both managers with Wenger as always going with a mix of experience and youth and Manchini would be looking to give his rich, large wage taking bench warmers a chance to get some game minutes. Wenger has already talked about the tired legs after the Fulham match so we would be looking at Van Persie, Ramsey and Walcott to get some rest. No matter what team City would come out with its going to be an experienced one with the likes of Dzeko, Johnson, De Jong to feature.
We will look at the different positions and possible ones who could feature in those positions. There is no guessing in the goalkeeper position as we would see Fabianski to come in. Koscielny was rested in the last match against Fulham so he should be starting this match . We should see Diaby, Benayoun and Chamberlain start the game too.
Its going to be tough match for our lads but we are sure that they would give their full in the match. It would be interesting to see the young lads play and gain experience against the Man City second string strong team. City would be without Balotelli who picked a red in the match against Liverpool and Barry who is facing suspension.
Our Starting line up for the match:- Fabianski, Yennaris, Koscielny, Squillaci, Santos, Frimpong, Diaby, Benayoun, Arshavin, Oxlade-Chamberlain,Park
